I am soooo glad we have a break for the next few days. Its going to be a great Mardi Gras for reasons that truly have nothing to do with Mardi Gras itself. First, Pride and Prejudice comes out on DVD Tuesday. I cant express how excited I am about this. In my little world this is huge- its like meeting the Queen huge. Anyway, I have these grand plans to have a tea party at my apartment next weekend sometime to celebrate the DVD release and really just give me a chance to dress up. Its a really good idea, but the execution is going a bit rough. To begin with I dont really have any tea cups or ittle bitty spoons or any of the stuff that they use. My good friend Rita (she's from Scotland) is going to teach me proper tea etiquette, so thats exciting. Oh and she and I are going to go to World Market to buy real English tea. It really will be a lot of fun if I can get the stuff. Everyone will have to wear gloves and stuff (i also will welcome boas or hats or any period costume with open arms). Anyway, the second big happening on tuesday is the release of the new Lisa Kleypas book. Its the third in the wallflower series. The series is one of my absolute favorites so this weekend I am re-reading the first two so that i'm ready. Its exciting. I dont think I can contain all the excitement for tuesday. its kinda like christmas. Ok, so now i'm rambling.
Oh, another bit of exciting news in my world. I have been communicating via facebook with one of the other girls going to study abroad this summer. It just makes me happy. we leave in like 120 days. it sounds like a long time, but i have been waiting to study abroad since i was in the 8th grade and first discovered my love of Europe so 120 days is nothing. Ok, well i think i am going to read and take a bubble bath. ahhh...
